We can microchip your pet at the shelter for $35. It is a simple procedure and the microchip shows your emergency contact information when scanned by a vet clinic or shelter. This ensures your pet can be reunited in case it becomes lost! We highly recommend this in addition to a collar and up-to-date ID tags.
-
We periodically host vaccination clinics. Most on the last Saturday of each month.
Call the shelter to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will be available as time allows.
-
Our pet food bank is available to the community, and includes: dog and cat food, cat litter, and occasionally other care items like crates and toys.
We do not ask for evidence of financial need, but we do ask clients to utilize the honor system and take only what they need.
-
We recognize that rehoming is a difficult decision.
-Please call us prior to making the decision to rehome, as we may be able to assist with resources or referrals for behavior modification.
-If you do need to surrender your animal, you must make an appointment. You may be placed on a waiting list until a kennel becomes available.
-When you bring your animal in, please provide vet records and anything that may ease your animal’s transition.
-There is no fee to surrender, but we encourage donations if you are able to do so, as it ensures we can care for your animal until it is placed in its new home.
-
We have a 24 hour stray hold for adult dogs. After the 24 hours, adults will be vaccinated and a reclaim fee will be added. Puppies are vaccinated upon entry and an immediate reclaim fee is added.
If you do NOT claim your pet in 72 hours, the said pet becomes ours and will be spayed/neutered and placed up for adoption.
So please, if you're missing your pet, come in or call us ASAP.
-If you find a stray, PLEASE call the shelter ahead of time before bringing him/her in.
-If you're missing a pet and don't see them here, please call us so we can fill out a report.
-You can also send the missing or found pet's info and picture to our Facebook page.
